Nothing I love better than an underdog! Someone
that other’s
may have given up on, or don’t expect much from and seeing those types
of
people come out swinging and making gradual to great strides in their
given
profession or sport.
You’ve
all heard or live the story of The Red Menace being
junkyard dogs! We ain’t rich! We ain’t all pretty boys! We aren’t suave
and
debonair. We are lovable junkyard dogs; TheRedMenace.com is a bunch of
mutts!
Well, it looks like Coach Locksley’s Lobos are at the point where they
are once
again “JYDs” Junkyard Dogs! Dogs that have been kicked around, had an
ear
chewed on, and walk with a limp!
During
his media luncheon yesterday Coach Locksley was
quoted saying, “I’m taking all three hits (e-mails and words from fans
and non
fans about all aspects of the game.) I love every minute of it! Bring
it on,
bring it on… my whole life has been based on overcoming challenges.
This is
another challenge, and I’m excited about the opportunity to coach the
Lobos and
I’m going to right the ship.”
Later
on to me Coach Locks said, “They aren’t going to break
me!” That is what I like! That is what this fan loves to hear!
Like
I’ve said before… Junkyard Dogs persevere! Junkyard
Dogs don’t fear nothing! When push comes to shove, JYDs don’t go run
and hide.
They bare their teeth and give it all they got!
The
media will bite into them and us, a segment of “Lobo
fans” will bite into them or kick them when they are down, and far be
it from
other websites, the newspapers, radio stations, and TV folks to kick
us… But we
started this website when UNM football was down, and we have never
looked back!
So Coach Locksley’s a JYD, this Lobo football team is full of JYDs and
many of
us at TRM are JYDs…
And
nothing is more loyal than a JYD! You lovable mutts you!

Both
QB’s will play Saturday, and I haven’t decided who will
start. At this point they are 50/50, but whoever separates himself and
takes
ownership of this team will get the most plays.
The
most important thing we have to work on is creating and
eliminating turnovers. We haven’t mastered how not to beat ourselves.
Pressure is there because we need to win! For our team and
for the fans, just to end the frustration.
The emotion
of rivalry lasts one kick off.
We don’t have ‘one’ QB that is why we are rotating
both. Our
best chance to win is to find out who is the best at taking care of the
ball.

him more playing time.
