“I couldn’t leave again without making it final,”
said Sealy
HS (Texas) and future Lobo tight end Bradley Miller, as he talked to
TheRedMenace.com in an exclusive interview. The 6-5 210lb tight end
became the
second HS player to commit to the University of New Mexico.
We
first met Brad Miller during Coach Locksley’s football
camp earlier this summer when Miller told us that
he
would do whatever it takes to win the game. “If you need me to put
someone on
their back, I will put them on their back. If you need me to catch the
game
winning touchdown, I will make that catch.” Miller also said that he
had one
other camp to attend this year (Baylor) before he would make his
decision.
Miller did attend that camp and did
weigh out his decision as Miller had offers from Baylor and Boise St.,
in the
end it was New Mexico that Miller wants to make his home. “The first
time I
went to New Mexico it felt like home,” said Miller. “I didn’t want to
leave.”
I’m always curious how a player let’s
a coach know he is going to play for that coach, so I asked Brad Miller
if he
called Locksley to let him know. “I’m in Albuquerque! I told the
coaches today
after checking out the facilities, talking to the coaches, and checking
out the
campus,” said Miller. “So I couldn’t leave again without making it
final.”
Major props go out to Coach Locksley
and Coach J.B. Gerald for recruiting and securing the commitment from
Miller.
“The coaching staff is great,” exclaimed Miller! “I also loved the
training
staff, the facilities…. They are all great!”
Bradley
had one last thing for The Red
Menace nation today:
“I’m going to do the best I can,” says
Brad Miller. “Get ready for a show!”
Congratulations
Brad Miller The Red Menace looks
forward to catching you for many Lobo Leaps!
