administrators here at TheRedMenace.com take an overall look at Lobo
athletics
both on and off the field every week and on Sunday night choose the top
5
candidates regardless of sport and allow you the fans to decide which
player,
coach, administrator, and/or team had the best week naming them “Leader
of The
Pack”
This
week’s choices were tough as all 5 had excellent weeks.
Skiing
Simon Reissmann of the 2009 NCAA West
Regional/RMISA Championship Ski team.
Men's
Tennis Johnny Parkes who once again led the Lobos to
victory as he Johnny went 2-0
Women’s
Swim and Dive Team as they were recognized by the
College Swimming Coaches Association of America for recording the
ninth-highest
grade point average in the country for Division I programs. The team
recorded a
3.45 g.p.a. For the fall 2008 semester.
Men's
Golf- James Erkenbeck as he shot a 7-under-par 65 to
claim the individual title at the John Burns Intercollegiate played at
the
Leilihua Golf Course in Wahiawa, Hawai'i.
Softball
3B Shaunte Duarte who went 7 of 10 with 4 RBI's and
6 runs scored over this weekend's Lobo Invite.
So
after 3 days of voting the winner of this week’s Leader
of The Pack Award is:

Not only did the junior from La Habra California
earn The
Leader of The Pack Award, Shaunte also earned All-MWC honors this week
for her
performance in the Lobo Invitational.
