"This Game Is For Me!" Tyson Ditmore

Homeboy Tyson Ditmore helps lead the New Mexico Wildcats to their first home victory ever!

Throw in a dose of wily veteran, add a hometown hero, and BAM you have a recipe for the first ever New Mexico Wildcats home victory

New Mexico Wildcat football is an ever-changing recipe. This week the Wildcats signed homeboy named Tyson Ditmore (New Mexico Lobos) to play “Jack Linebacker” for the Wildcats, and let me tell you Ditmore took the arena like he was born to play there. As the roving LB/S Tyson picked up 2 INT’s, broke up another pair of passes, just missed on 2 more INT’s and picked up some QB pressures as the Wildcat victory 32-9 victory over the Utah Saints on Saturday night.

Tyson wasn’t the only Wildcat defender having the time of his life as both #99 Idrees Abdur-Rasheed from Jackson state and #91 Luis Lopez spent the entire evening badgering and slamming both Saint’s QB’s to the turf play after play after play.

Lawrence Pullen

While most games are in the high 50’s for both teams this one was more of a defensive battle. However, the Wildcats did have scoring punch as the dynamic WR/KR Lawrence Pullen was on the receiving end of a touchdown. Pullen had another one in the end zone but the referee ruled a fumble and there was no instant replay. It wasn’t the receptions that had me giving Lawrence the player of the game award, it was an outstanding kick off return for a touchdown that had the fans excited as Pullens took the missed FG and took off the entire length of the field for the score. If you haven’t seen the game Mr. Pullens isn’t the largest young man on the field, but if you blink… Well you’ll miss him! He is worth the cost of admission alone.

 The crowd was dynamic, the game is exciting and must say that New Mexico Wildcat football is a blast for you and your kids and it is only getting better. The next home game is Tuesday night may 20^th at 7:05 be there!
