Red Menace Radio: Saturday Night!
Tune in!
Tune in!

Posted Dec 9, 2007

The men's and women's hoops team post a pair of victories and we check in with Donovan Porterie!

Things are heating up on the corner of Avenida Cesar Chavez and University Blvd as The University of New Mexico Lobo Men’s and Women’s hoops teams played on Saturday as well as the football team practicing as they prepare for a December 22nd match up with the Nevada Wolfpack in the 2007 New Mexico Bowl.

With that said Red Menace Radio is in full effect as Wes Henderson picked up some audio interviews for all to hear.

First the men’s basketball team defeated the University of San Diego by the score of 57-47 as UNM was led by Darren Prentice’s 19 points.

After the men defeated the Torreros it was the women’s turn as they went up against Towson University. The Lobos were led by Dionne Marsh’s 20 and Amy Beggin’s 19 as they defeated Towson 76-63 to capture the Comcast Tournament Championship.

In between both games I had a chance to talk to starting quarterback Donovan Porterie about the upcoming New Mexico Bowl and how preparation was going as he was in The Pit to root on the Lobo women.
