Went out to practice this morning, arrived at about 7am. Watched
first team offense vs. second team defense and second team offense vs. first
team defense action, as they are beginning to prep for UTEP.
Punting and kickoffs coverage after that, Fr. kicker Adam Richards may be
working his way into the mix with some impressive kickoffs and a "game-tying"
field goal at the end of last drive of the end of two-minute drills. The coaches
were specifically calling Richards out on the field.
The Good Hands People! Chris Hernandez
Prior to this the highlight of practice was the
two minute drills by the Lobo offense as Donovan Portiere lead the 1st team in
the end zone in the first drive, capping it with a nice pass to Fr WR Chris
Hernandez, who made a nice grab in the end zone while tip toeing the sideline.
Hernandez made quite a few nice catches during today’s practice as he and Roland
Bruno have to be the two wide receivers that have made great strides this fall
in trying to gain playing time.
It wasn’t all good, as backup Byran Clampitt was picked off by Kendall Briscoe at the line of scrimmage on the second drive.

Donovan then was given a :57 seconds left and down by three situation in
which he impressively drove the team into position for the game tying field goal
by Richards, a 45-yarder.
As we all know the Lobo quarterbacks had a rough time of it during
Saturday’s Fan Photo/Scrimmage so I wanted to get the low down from the main
offensive guy… Dave Baldwin.
