3 Local Players Offered Scholarships

Three local young men have been offered.

TheRedMenace.com has learned that Rocky Long has offered 3 local football players scholarships to play for UNM!

RB/CB Michael Love of Rio Rancho High School

"I would like to play running back in college, but I'll play anywhere they ask me to," said Love. "I'm currently being recruited by UNM, Illinois, Arizona, San Diego, UTEP and  NMSU." Any favorites at this time Mike? "Not really...  I like UNM because it is my home... but if anyone gives me an offer I want to play."

DB/RB Jerrell Miller of Highland High School

I spoke with Jerrell during this weekend's mini-camp and he stated that the school currently recruiting him are UNM, Texas Tech, Utep, and  Arizona St.

WR Nicholas Lawson of Manzano High School

"Some schools have called," said Manzano head coach Aaron Ocampo. " ArizonaNew Mexico, New Mexico State, and Texas Tech have all called and asked about him." NM Varsity:Nicky Lawson May 29, 05

As was stated in yesterday's report, Rocky Long and his staff make every effort to get local young men to be Lobos.

We will try to get in touch with all 3 young men this weekend during Rocky Long's football camp and 7-on-7 tournament.
